Joe Cawood

Joe Cawood

Originally from the great state of Michigan (Go Green), Joe grew up fishing for bass, pike, salmon, steelhead, and trout across the natural land of 10,000 lakes (frig off Minnesota) and rivers. After graduating from Michigan State, Joe moved around the country (MN, AZ, NC) while working for corporate America. No matter where he lived, Joe took every opportunity to fish as much as possible in his free time. Always happiest on water, he eventually decided the corporate grind wasn’t for him and became a self-employed executive headhunter and a part-time fly fishing guide here at DRO. Before joining the team, Joe spent several years fly fishing WNC and our private waters. Joe’s favorite guiding part is seeing clients' excitement when they land beautiful trout on the fly. He may even be more stoked than you are when you get those fish to the net.
