Join us as we travel west to one of the best fisheries in the continental US for a week of first-class trout fishing. The sign entering Ennis, MT, says it all: Population 11,000,000 trout, 660 people. We have led trips to the famed Rainbow Valley for over fifteen years and fished the area since the 1980s. Your hosts will be Kevin Howell, owner of Davidson River Outfitters, and Walker Parrott, DRO Head Guide. Guides from O’Dell Creek Fly Shop and The Trout Shop will also accompany you.

Includes: 3 days guided float fishing, three days hosted wade fishing, all meals, seven nights lodging, and ground transportation from Bozeman Airport while on the trip and back to Bozeman
Not Included: Montana Fishing License, guide gratuity, transportation from point of origin to Rainbow Valley Lodge and back to point of origin, personal fishing gear, flies and gear from Odell Fly Shop, bar tabs.
*DRO will make every effort to coordinate picking you up at the Bozeman airport (BZN) free of charge. However, if you have a super early or late arrival or departure, you may have to take a shuttle at your expense, as we will assist other clients.

Just after the first snow of the year, the fish are slow and the temps are cold. If you plan to fish this time of year, sleep in and make a cup of coffee before heading to the river. Around 10:00 the water and the air will warm up and the fish will start feeding for the day. The fish will feed until 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon until the sun goes behind the trees and the air temps start to drop again. Make sure you wear layers so you can add and subtract clothes throughout the day. As always when fishing during the winter, make sure that you have a plan of where you are going and tell others where you expect to be and what time you expect to be off the water, in case something happens while you are fishing.
