Join us at Davidson River Outfitters for an immersive fly fishing school designed by angling expert Kevin Howell. Our commitment to fostering angler success sets us apart, and our renowned expert, Kevin Howell, has crafted an immersive curriculum drawing from over 40 years of fly fishing expertise. From mastering the art of fly casting and gaining a deep understanding of entomology to honing multiple rigging techniques, participants will elevate their skills to become proficient trout anglers. This unique four-and-a-half-day school encompasses comprehensive sessions on wade fishing and drift boat/raft techniques, ensuring anglers are well-versed in diverse environments.

What truly distinguishes our program is the partnership with Deerwoode Reserve, which provides an idyllic setting at the Coyote Lodge for learning and relaxation. Kevin's carefully designed school features a low student-to-teacher ratio, guaranteeing individualized attention and success on the water. As a highlight, participants will enjoy guided wade fishing on Wednesday and a thrilling float fishing experience on Thursday, expertly guided by DRO guides. The emphasis is on catching fish and understanding and applying the acquired knowledge. Graduates will leave with comprehensive materials covering all aspects of the school, serving as a valuable reference for their ongoing fly fishing journey.

Daily Schedule:

Sunday, April 7th, 2024

• 4-6 pm: Arrival and check-in
• 6-8 pm: Dinner, introductions, and expectations

Monday to Thursday:

• Continental breakfast, fly fishing basics, casting, knots, water reading, and on-stream presentations
• Guided fishing experiences, entomology sessions, and gear setups
• Graduation and goodbyes on Friday
